Most of the Where Winds Meet upcoming regions lists you will find are running four months behind. Hexi finished on 30 April. Mohist Hill has been open since 23 July. What is actually still ahead of you is one region, Hutuo, and NetEase has not put a date on it anywhere.
I have been on the live client since launch, patching on Steam the morning each chapter opened. Below is the board as it stands, with a status on every line: live, announced, or unknown. Nothing on it is a guess.
The Upcoming Regions Board: Hexi Closed in April, Mohist Hill Opened in July

Hexi finished on 30 April
Hexi is done. It shipped serialised, three chapters roughly four weeks apart: Jade Gate Pass on 6 March, Liangzhou on 2 April, Qinchuan on 30 April. NetEase Games dated all three in its own release posts, and PlayStation Blog carried the 5 March Pacific opening.
I ran them in order, on release day each time. Waiting a month between deserts was the design, not a delay. Start today and you get the whole thing at once — three major maps, close to 20 sub-regions, 11 bosses, all permanent map rather than a season.
Mohist Hill opened on 23 July
Mohist Hill arrived inside the Hidden Mountain expansion, version 2.0, on 23 July, simultaneously on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and mobile. It is a sect and a Gauntlet discipline sitting on the Hidden Mountain map, not a region you travel to separately.
Version 2.1, Clouded Revelation, followed on 20 August with Heaven's Threshold above it. None of it is paid, preordered, or time-limited.
Hutuo Is the Next Region, and It Carries No Date

Announced, undated, CN first
Hutuo — written Hut River in several roundups — is the next new region, and no release date exists for it on any server. It appears on the roadmap. That is the entirety of what is confirmed.
Three things about it are on the record:
- CN first. It reaches the Chinese client ahead of global, the way Hexi and Hidden Mountain both did.
- Serialised, not dropped. It is described as unfolding across several patches rather than one opening day.
- No version number attached in any official post I have read.
What that does to your window
Hidden Mountain still has announced, undated story chapters left on it. Those land between regions, so expect at least one more 2.x patch before a new map opens.
Being current is the useful move here, not watching a countdown that does not exist. If you are caught up now, you are level with everyone else on Hutuo's opening day — whenever that turns out to be.
Version 2.0 Asked Me for 76 GB on Patch Morning

The number Steam shows is not the number it adds
Mohist Hill cost me a 76 GB download on Steam on the morning of 23 July. The folder settled at roughly 104 GB afterwards — barely above where it started.
The patcher rewrites existing files instead of appending new ones. The figure you see is the volume it touches, not the volume it adds. Console and mobile sizes differ, and NetEase publishes them per platform each patch.
Clear the headroom before the next one
You need the free space during the patch, not after it. That is what catches people out on a filled 1 TB drive — the install ends smaller than the download implied, but the process still demands the room.
Check the storefront page the week a patch is dated. For minimums, the resolution the client actually holds and where it sits on disk, our Where Winds Meet setup piece carries the figures.

Chapter dates appear on the official site before the trackers. Check the storefront page for the current patch size before you clear disk space.

The three signals worth watching
A dated trailer is the earliest real one. Both Hexi and Hidden Mountain were announced with a trailer carrying a date roughly four to six weeks out. Nothing like it exists for Hutuo yet.
The CN-to-global gap has been narrowing. Hexi reached global well behind China. Version 2.0 landed far closer together. Whether Hutuo repeats that is unknown.
Livestream cadence. Expansion reveals have come through dedicated streams on the official site rather than through patch notes.
What is not a signal
A datamined region name on a wiki is not a date. Neither is a community roadmap that fills the blank with a quarter because the shape of the year suggests one.
If a page hands you a Hutuo release date today, it invented it. Come back when there is a trailer with a number on it.
