Ragnarok Online 3 reaches China before anywhere else, on PC first and mobile after. Gravity put the order in writing in its Q2 2026 business update, filed 7 August 2026: China and global both sit in 2027, with no month attached to either one.
If you have been waiting since the reveal, know that this board has already moved twice. RO3 was a 2025 title, then a 2026 title, and it is now a 2027 title in two markets at once. Everything below carries a date and a status — granted, announced, or unknown. Where the status is unknown, you will read the word, not a guess.
Ragnarok Online 3 lands in China first, and 2027 is the only window

2027, two markets, no month
2027 covers both markets and nothing narrows it further. Gravity stated it in the Q2 2026 business update filed on 7 August 2026. No day, no month and no quarter has been given for China or for global.
China moves first in practice, not merely on paper. The Chinese build cleared its import licence on 22 October 2025 and ran a public test from 27 August 2026. The global build has not run a test since August 2025.
Status, line by line
- China commercial launch — announced, 2027, no date.
- Global commercial launch — announced, 2027, no date.
- Mobile client test — unknown, in both markets.
I keep a dated board for exactly this reason, and RO3 has slipped on it twice since the reveal. Each slip cost a full year. Treat any site handing you a precise 2027 day as guessing, because Gravity has not published one.
The first China test was PC only, and mobile is the second screen

PC carried the whole test
PC only — that was the entire first China test, from 27 August to 3 September 2026. Recruitment ran 21 July to 21 August, and pre-load opened on 25 August. The build was limited-quota, unbilled and wiped at the end.
Mobile was licensed alongside PC back in October 2025. It still has not appeared in a public test. Cross-play between PC and mobile is the stated design, with PC as the full client.
What you could actually reach
I applied on the Bilibili test page the week recruitment opened and was screened out at the qualification step. It wants a mainland phone number and a real-name ID. If you sit outside China, the same wall waits for you, and there is no legitimate way around it.
Tested content, per the official test pages and Chinese coverage:
- Mouse and keyboard on a 2.5D client, with a rotating camera
- Prontera rebuilt, vending stalls and costumes returning
- Guild content and a battle-royale mode among the modes on the build
Bilibili owns the China queue, GnJoy owns yours

Bilibili holds China exclusively, through Shanghai Rexue Network Technology. That is the entity named on the licence and the one running the test site. Nothing on the Chinese side is reachable without a mainland account.
GnJoy holds the global queue. Pre-registration is open on the official RO3 global site and costs an email address and a GnJoy account, nothing else. That list is where a global date lands first.
I pre-registered the day the gameplay trailer went up, and the account has sat there since producing event mail and nothing more. That is what a pre-registration buys you: it holds your place in the notification order, it does not shorten the wait. Put your address on it now if you want the notice before the forums have it.

Global pre-registration is open on the official RO3 site and needs only an email and a GnJoy account. It is the only queue open to you outside China.

Client size is unpublished
Client size in GB is unknown in both markets. The Chinese pre-load went out by SMS with no public figure attached, and no global requirements sheet exists yet. Check the store page at launch; anything quoted today is invented.
Older Ragnarok clients are the only usable reference while RO3 stays undated. If your worry is whether your machine or your Steam Deck copes, the current game's requirements are the honest stand-in until Gravity publishes a sheet.
Steam and pricing, both blank
Steam is unknown. No store page exists and Gravity has made no platform statement beyond PC and mobile. Do not read global pre-registration as a Steam release.
Monetisation is unannounced. The China test was unbilled by design, so it tells you nothing about the live model. If that is what blocks you, the franchise's existing versions, VIP tiers and card costs are where the real pricing sits — and there are alternatives worth running while the 2027 window stays open.
